A shortened week without Origin stars threw a spanner in the works of many a fantasy squad but savvy owners still saw big results.
Bulldogs 18 Roosters 20
The star: Boyd Cordner (72pts) - he's not usually a great option for your second row but if you plugged him into your lineup for the short week then you looked like a genius. Two tries and two line breaks were season bests but don't count on the offensive surge continuing.
The dud: Sam Perrett (8pts) - his worst fantasy score since week one of the league. He's a serviceable option when he's scoring tries so pick him based on matchups.
Value pick: Sonny Bill Williams (38pts) - not his best week but he's still incredible value for 136k.
Tigers 17 Raiders 12
The star: Shaun Fensom (69pts) - he's a beast and he's getting better as the season goes on, this being his best performance so far and third 60+ score in a row.
The dud: Reece Robinson (9pts) - would you pay 437k for nine points? Nah, me neither. He's another match-up dependent play.
Value pick: David Nofoaluma (36pts) - he's just played the five games so far this season but he's a big reason why the Tigers have found some form. In that time he's scored four tries, made three line breaks and broken the 100m mark four times. For 123k he's a great, cheap backline option.
Eels 10 Rabbitohs 30
The star: Adam Reynolds (54pts) - five kicks, a try and two line breaks handed Reynolds his best fantasy day of the season. He's an elite halfback option.
The dud: Jake Mullaney (-3pts) - you don't see many negative performances in our Fantasy NRL league but that's what happens when you miss six out of seven tackles attempted. For 262k, avoid.
Value pick: Thomas Burgess (36pts) - where one Burgess falls, another takes his place. Introducing Thomas, younger brother of fellow Rabbitohs Sam and Luke and twin of George. This was a promising first appearance of the season so keep an eye on his form and playing time as he could be another Burgess steal at 124k.
Titans 18 Storm 12
The star: Matt Srama (58pts) - Srama did his damage on offense this week, the hooker gaining 133m. There are better options at hooker but well done if you slotted him in for this week.
The dud: Maurice Blair (22pts) - there weren't many duds in this game and Blair's only here because of how hot he was going into this one. He had scored four tries and made four line breaks in the four games leading up to this fixture but didn't crack those stats this week. He did kick a goal though so keep him on your radar as he's a handy bench back for 156k.
Value pick: Albert Kelly (45pts) - he's the best fantasy halfback in the game but for some reason he's one of the cheapest. Start him, start him, start him.
