"It [an end to his Storm career] is creeping up on me, but I am trying not to dwell on it.
"This is a place I have loved for over 12 years."
Hoffman scored a try in the Storm's 2012 grand final win over Canterbury and was a part of the side's title wins in 2007 and 2009 that were stripped because of salary breaches. He also played in their loss to Brisbane in the 2006 decider.
He credits playing alongside the likes of Cameron Smith, Cooper Cronk and Billy Slater under coach Craig Bellamy with helping him to become the player he is.
"It has been great playing with them not just because they are great players but because they are my really good mates," he said.
"We debuted within 12 months of each other, we all started under Craig and we have all gone through a hell of a lot of highs and hell of a lot of lows together in that 12 years.
"I have been blessed to come to a club that wants to work hard and to have played with a coach and players that have helped me reach my potential."
