Sydney Roosters playmaker Todd Carney is free to play in Sunday's NRL grand final against St George Illawarra after avoiding a high-grade judiciary charge.
The Dally M Medallist was on Monday charged with a grade-one careless high tackle on Gold Coast captain Scott Prince and will avoid a suspension with an early guilty plea.
Carney caught Prince high in the 37th minute of the Roosters' 32-6 preliminary final win over the Titans last Friday night in Brisbane.
