The Canterbury Bulldogs side has been left with a caretaker coach in charge after Kevin Moore stood down today.
Moore made the move after being told by management he was not wanted next season.
Four losses in their last five proved the death knell for Moore, whose family has had a more than 40-year connection with the Belmore-based club.
Moore, the Dally M coach of the year in 2009, has been replaced for the remainder of the season by his assistant Jim Dymock, a former long-term player at the club.
Moore's abrupt departure pours more pressure on a Bulldogs squad already entering territory when they take on the sixth-placed Warriors in the round 19 opener this weekend.
