Bulldogs 38 Dragons 6
Canterbury have surged to the outright lead of the NRL competition after thrashing St George Illawarra 38-6 at ANZ Stadium on Sunday with centre Tim Lafai scoring three tries.
The Bulldogs dominated the Dragons in almost every facet of play in the round nine Mother's Day clash before 21,077 fans.
The win was the Dogs' sixth in a row and sends them to the outright lead atop the NRL ladder, after Manly and Gold Coast both suffered defeats on the weekend.
The Bulldogs forward pack constantly rolled over the top of their opponents allowing their outside men, particularly Lafai, to take advantage.
The Bulldogs led 22-0 at halftime after Sam Perrett got the ball rolling in just the fifth minute when he beat Gareth Widdop close to the Dragons line.
