Brisbane are battling to contain a flu outbreak on the eve of their NRL clash with Newcastle tonight.
Prop Nick Kenny was isolated from teammates yesterday and halfback Peter Wallace trained despite flu-like symptoms.
Brisbane's final training run was unusually light before the team headed south to play the Knights.
"We didn't do much this morning, it was a pretty light session," said coach Ivan Henjak.
"We've got a couple of illness concerns."
Brisbane skipper Darren Lockyer, who will play his 300th premiership game, has made sure his milestone is not a motivating factor for his teammates.
Lockyer said he was taking the event as just another week and the players had kept things low key.
* Cronulla have been dealt a blow ahead of today's clash against the Sydney Roosters with Trent Barrett ruled out with a back injury.
Barrett had been undergoing extensive treatment since last Friday's match against Souths but has failed to recover in time.
Former Eel Blake Green will replace Barrett in the side at Toyota Stadium after a strong performance in the Sharks' NSW Cup win over Wentworthville last Sunday.
