NRL: Bennett leaving Dragons

Dragons coach Wayne Bennett today announced he will leave St George Illawarra at the end of the 2011 National Rugby League season.

Bennett announced the decision at a press conference today with Dragons assistant coach Steve Price named as the new coach from next year, signing a two year deal.

The seven-time premiership winning coach said he has not decided where he will coach next season, if he will coach at all.

There are reports that Newcastle and his former club Brisbane are in a tug-of-war for his services for 2012 and beyond.
