Former Kiwis captain Richie Barnett has no doubt the NRL betting scandal will be revealed to the public on Monday.
Sydney Police are expected to reveal several high profile players involved in a betting sting once the grand final is over on Sunday night.
Barnett is convinced after watching video footage of one of the games in question, there has been illegal betting in the NRL.
He says the incidents were obvious and it doesn't look good for the players concerned.
Barnett is referring to the round 24 match between the North Queensland Cowboys and the Canterbury Bulldogs.
Australian police have been investigating the August 21 match after a highly unusual amount of bets were placed on a Cowboys' penalty goal as the first scoring play.
The Cowboys had the chance of taking an easy shot at goal early in the match after Bulldogs forward Ryan Tandy gave away a penalty on front of the posts.
North Queensland took a quick tap and scored a try instead. Tandy has denied involvement in any wrongdoing.
NRL chief executive David Gallop earlier this month threatened life bans on any players or officials implicated in the betting scandal.
Gallop told the Australian newspaper: "In terms of individuals, obviously life bans are available to us and if this type of thing is proven then you would have to say that's very much on the cards."
