The Parramatta Eels have parted company with coach Daniel Anderson.
The Eels' board of directors have made the decision to sack Anderson with a year left remaining on his three-year contract.
It comes after allegations there was a racial vilification issue between Anderson and outgoing forward Feleti Mateo.
Former Warriors captain Monty Betham says Anderson was susceptible to letting fly emotionally during his time at the Warriors.
He says towards the back end of his tenure at the Warriors, he polarised the players for better performances.
But Betham says Anderson was never racist at the Warriors.
Kiwis coach Stephen Kearney is expected to be offered the Eels coaching job in the coming days.
Betham says the time is right for Kearney. He says Kearney has done his apprenticeship under Melbourne Storm coach Craig Bellamy and he';ll be foaming at the mouth to get an opportunity like this.
Former Kangaroos coach Ricky Stuart has also been mentioned as a possible replacement for Anderson.
