Parramatta prop Mitchell Allgood will miss two NRL matches after opting to take an early guilty plea for punching Manly centre Steve Matai.
Allgood was hit with a grade-three striking charge for the attack in a dramatic finish to the Eels' Monday night thrashing at Brookvale Oval.
The decision not to challenge the charge will mean the front-rower will return for the Eels' clash with Canterbury at ANZ Stadium on July 26.
The incident was sparked by a swinging arm on Sea Eagles utility Jamie Buhrer, to which Matai took exception and ran 10 metres to challenge Allgood.
Reni Maitua on Tuesday said it as a case of "hit or be hit'' for his Eels teammate, who let frustration cloud his judgment.
