Senior News Ltd executives were told of salary cap breaches at the Melbourne Storm as early as February but did nothing to address the problem, the Sydney Morning Herald reported today.
The NRL club's former acting CEO Matt Hanson is behind the claims.
Mr Hanson's claims run counter to those of News Ltd's chief executive, John Hartigan, who said last week that his company only became aware of the breaches in mid April.
