Kade Snowden is set to make his rugby league test debut for Australia after fellow prop David Shillington was ruled out of Friday's match with New Zealand through injury.
Snowden was called up out of the NSW Country team camp on Monday to join coach Tim Sheens' Kangaroos squad on the Gold Coast and prepare for the Test at Skilled Park.
Shillington was forced out with a pectoral injury suffered in his Canberra Raiders side's big NRL loss to the Wests Tigers on Sunday.
Centre Beau Scott has also been promoted from the NSW Country team to the Kangaroos squad as 18th man, with his St George Illawarra team-mates Dan Hunt and Matt Prior coming into coach Laurie Daley's Country squad as replacements for him and Snowden.
Snowden made his first appearance for NSW last year and is expected to play a prominent role for the Blues in this year's State of Origin series.
The 24-year-old has been in excellent form for his struggling NRL club Cronulla but will face a stern test from a tough and experienced Kiwis pack on Friday.
