Kiwis test winger Jason Nightingale is reportedly set to turn down a big-money offer from the Warriors to remain a one-club player with the St George-Illawarra Dragons.
Ahead of the Dragons' grudge match against the Sydney Roosters on Monday, Sydney's Daily Telegraph says Nightingale will agree to a two-year extension with the Dragons.
The news comes after Warriors coach Andrew McFadden was spotted together with managing director Jim Doyle, meeting with the 28-year-old flyer at a St Heliers café last Saturday.
The Dragons are tipped to confirm Nightingale's retention in the coming days while he is believed to have agreed to take a significant pay cut to remain in the Red V, after previously being ranked among the highest paid wingers in the NRL.
The Warriors are expected to remain active in the player market as they look to continue adding to their 2016 roster, after already securing Kiwis internationals Roger Tuivasa-Sheck and Issac Luke.
