"It's going to be a real tough job to contain him."
While Storm managed to steal victory from the jaws of defeat in Canberra in round one, Souths did the complete opposite against Sydney Roosters, losing in the final seconds.
Nielsen was impressed with the Rabbitohs' performance under new coach Michael Macguire, who served an apprenticeship under Storm coach Craig Bellamy.
"I thought they were very unlucky ... for them to lose that was pretty frustrating and I'm sure they'll want to come down here and get their first win.
"But it's our first game at AAMI Park and we want to be two from two."
After a breakthrough 2011 season when he played in the Queensland Origin side, Nielsen is looking to consolidate this year and deliver consistently good performances.
He also has his future to play for, off contract this season, and said he had talked to a few NRL clubs.
"I don't want to go out and play two good games and then have three bad ones, I want to be at my best every week.
"I'm hopefully going to play good footy and those things [contracts] will sort themselves out."
