KEY POINTS:
TOWNSVILLE - Graham Murray has stepped down as New South Wales State of Origin rugby league coach.
The North Queensland Cowboys coach has also been at the helm of the Blues since 2006, but has been unable to capture a series win against the Maroons.
"It was a privilege and a great experience and I loved both series, but I think it's time for someone else to have a go." he said.
Murray's Cowboys are currently placed fourth on the National Rugby League ladder on 24 points.
