NZ Kiwis second-rower Mau Ma'u is facing an untimely one-match NRL suspension, after being cited for a shoulder charge.
Ma'u looks set to miss surging Parramatta's blockbuster clash with fellow top-four side Brisbane next Thursday, after copping the charge for a clumsy hit on Gold Coast halfback Ash Taylor in the Eels' big win over the Titans last night.
He would face a two-match ban, if he unsuccessfully challenged the charge at a judiciary hearing.
Ma'u debuted for New Zealand at last year's Anzac Test in Newcastle, but missed the Kiwis' most recent outing through injury.
