While you couldn't help but admire the skills and speed of the Auckland side, the gulf in class was barely believable considering it was a preliminary final.
The Bulldogs twice dropped the ball over the line but otherwise failed to offer an attacking threat. The Sydney team struggled to build any momentum, making unforced errors under the relentless pressure from the Auckland side.
It was the fourth time this season the Warriors had held their opponents scoreless in the first half and they have now won 18 of 19 matches this year when leading at halftime.
The Junior Warriors opened the scoring through Konrad Hurrell in just the second minute. The Bulldogs then dominated possession for the next ten minutes, without really managing to threaten the Warriors' line. John Ackland's side made them pay for their profligacy - with their other centre, Sosaia Feki, bursting through some flimsy defence down the left side in the 12th minute.
One of the lighter moments came midway through the first half when the Junior Warriors seemed to attempt the league version of a push over scrum; they heaved their opponents off the ball but were penalised for engaging too early.
A 50m Hurrell break set up their next score; with halfback Jordan Meads sending a pinpoint ball to right winger Adam Henry, who squeezed over in the 22nd minute.
A long range break five minutes later - this time from Henry - eventually saw Sio Siua Taukeiaho dot down after winger Collier tip toed down the sideline.
Bulldogs' halfback Moses Mybe looked certain to score, but contrived to knock on - and simultaneously face plant - as he was ankle tapped by George Maka.
Any hopes of the Bulldog's revival were dashed just after the break following Tuimavave's brace.
