Kieran Foran's possible return for New Zealand spells trouble for Australia in their upcoming Test next month, according to good friend Daly Cherry-Evans.
Foran has been in red-hot form for the Warriors since his anticipated return from personal issues last month has the former Kiwis captain in line for a recall for the annual fixture.
Cherry-Evans believes that is only bad news for a Kangaroos side ahead of their looming World Cup defence later this year.
"For Australia's sake, I hope he doesn't play. He's a fantastic player," Cherry-Evans said.
"He's playing some good football, it's just great to see him come back and have such an impact on their side, a positive one at that."
The Kiwis are set to field their strongest squad in some time, with Roger Tuivasa-Sheck and Simon Mannering set to return to the fold alongside Foran.
"I'm not sure if he's in calculations and where he's at personally, but I daresay if he gets picked, he'll do a fantastic job for that side," Cherry-Evans said.
League: Foran could cause trouble for Kangaroos, says Cherry-Evans
