The Bulldogs reportedly face a fine of almost A$100,000 ($108,500) for again breaking the National Rugby League's A$3.5 million salary cap.
Four other clubs -- Penrith, Melbourne Sydney Roosters and St George Illawarra -- were also caught overspending last season, according to The Daily Telegraph.
No details were available ahead of today's NRL board meeting where penalties were to be decided.
But Bulldogs chief executive Malcolm Noad confirmed to the newspaper his club was facing a hefty fine.
"I'm waiting to be officially informed by the NRL," Noad said.
"I guess it will all come out after (today's) meeting."
The breach is nowhere near the level in 2002 that led to the Bulldogs being stripped of 37 competition points and being fined A$500,000.
