For player of the year Kiwis captain Roy Asotasi is the pundits' favourite to take the New Zealand Rugby League's player of the year title at the annual awards ceremony tonight. New fullback Sam Perrett is expected to shade Krisnan Inu for the rookie of the year, having played all 25 games for the Roosters and five end-of-year tests. The NZRL will also name a player of the century tonight to mark 100 years since the game's beginnings in this country.
