Shaun Kenny-Dowall is set to make his return to the NRL for the first time since allegations of domestic violence were levelled against him.
Kenny-Dowall has missed Sydney Roosters' last three matches, but could return against Newcastle at Hunter Stadium on Sunday.
The Kiwi international hasn't played since being arrested and charged on July 18 in regard to a number of alleged incidents involving former girlfriend Jessica Peris.
The 27-year-old was admitted to hospital two weeks ago due to concerns over his mental health. He returned to Roosters training last Monday and trained with the team for the following day.
Kenny-Dowall's good friend and teammate Jared Waerea-Hargreaves said he was looking forward to him returning.
