Jake Mamo's stunning try assist has left sports fans around the world scratching their heads, wondering if what they'd just seen really happened.
The young fullback's miracle play wouldn't look out of place in a Superman movie but Mamo's heroic efforts were really just on the league field, in the 44th minute of this weekend's NRL clash between Newcastle Knights and Cronulla Sharks.
The Knights were leading 16-12 when Mamo showed blistering pace and incredible athleticism to jump from the field of play and claw back his own kick in mid-air.
Carlos Tuimavave had the simple task of touching down under the posts to extend the Knights' lead but the Sharks did fight back to win 30-28 at Hunter Park.
