Ugly crowd scenes have again marred a Canterbury NRL game after a glass bottle was hurled at the Canberra Raiders' bench at Belmore Sportsground on Monday night.
Bulldogs boss Raelene Castle is confident the club knows the identity of the man who threw a bourbon bottle from the western grandstand at the Raiders after Josh Jackson was sinbinned in the second half in the visitors' 22-8 round five win.
The bottle narrowly missed Raiders players and exploded as it hit an exercise bike. The bottle is believed to have been thrown from a Bulldogs members area but Castle said she was unsure how the man was associated with the club.
"We've identified the individual and the fans have helped us identify who that person is and they're speaking to that person," Castle said.
"They got on it and dealt with it really quickly.
