"I've enjoyed the break but am pretty keen to get back into it. Every time I've come in (trainer) Ruben (Wiki) tells me to go away and have a rest, but it's been cool."
The former Otahuhu College student believes the Warriors are as professional as any other NRL club and feedback from former Roosters Under 20s teammate Henare Wells and Kiwis co-captain Issac Luke support his view.
"It's been good. Talking with Henare, he's been loving it - the way they're training and the way they look after him - and that's always a good step," he said.
"Issac arrived on Monday and he's back at training and says it's been pretty solid and I trust him and his words.
"And I know (managing director) Jim Doyle from the Kiwis. He's awesome and he's been looking after me and the club's been really good."
The 2013 Dally M Winger of the Year and 2015 Fullback of the Year appreciates the excitement surrounding his and Luke's arrival at Penrose and knows there is pressure on him to reproduce his outstanding form of the past three years.
This year he came close to being the first NRL player to break the 6000 metre barrier and averaged 215m a game. He's expected to add plenty of thrust to the Warriors attack alongside the likes of test teammates Shaun Johnson and Manu Vatuvei.
"Coming to the club you hear that and see that around but now I'm just trying to fit in and proud to be a part of the Warriors.
"I've just got to try my best to maintain what I've been doing and just work hard. If I give it my best then that's all I can do."
Being a new arrival, Tuivasa-Sheck is reluctant to list areas in which the Warriors could improve, but acknowledged the club's talented roster need to live up to the hype.
"It's hard for me to put a point on where they need to improve," he said. "They always had the talent and potential to do well. They always had the best team on paper so hopefully we can all gel and put our talents together and hopefully come away with a few wins."
The tackle-busting ball carrier has a knack for finding holes in defensive lines, but so far has found the Auckland property market harder to crack.
"I'm still trying to find a three bedroom home for me and my partner. There's not many listings at the moment so hopefully it works out after Christmas."
