The Lions will need a victory over high-flying Glenora, who last week wrapped up the minor premiership with a 50-point rout of Mangere East, and then require Howick to lose in Round 18, in order to keep their season alive.
Mt Albert come off their best performance of the year last week, which saw them upset Pt Chevalier 22-20.
