What better way to open the new Auckland Rugby League first division season than with a Grand Final re-match?
The Glenora Bears take on the Pt Chevalier Pirates in this week's livestream match, with early bragging rights up for grabs along with the Konica Minolta Roope Rooster (challenge trophy) and Stormont Shield (champion of champions shield).
Last year the Bears produced an emphatic 26-0 shutout victory over the Pirates, in what was a bruising and emotional Grand Final, winning their first SAS Fox Memorial Premiership since 1999.
Former New Zealand Warrior and Mate Ma'a Tonga representative, Epalahame Lauaki, will lead from the front for the Bears, while on the other side the Pirates boast several former NRL products and Junior Warriors.
It's all on in New Zealand's premier domestic rugby league competition, with coverage from 2.00pm and kick-off at 2.30pm.
