Another trans-Tasman rugby league test has been confirmed.
The Kiwis will play the Kangaroos in Townsville on October 13, with the ARL commission giving full support to a mid-season test as well.
New Zealand Rugby League chief executive Jim Doyle says it's a step forward for international league.
"So that's something we're trying to continue to lock in with Australia. It was part of our planning for this year that we would play them home and away so they've fought at Eden Park home, and then away.''
The mid-season test will be in a stand-alone representative weekend while there will be more byes around State of Origin.
