Tonga have named a strong squad for the Rugby League World Cup laden with top NRL talent including Konrad Hurrell, Daniel Tupou, Brent Kite and Jorge Taufua.
Sea Eagles veteran Kite will captain the side alongside teammate Taufua who scored the opening try in Sunday's grand final defeat to the Roosters, his 20th of the season.
Former Kiwis props Fuifui Moimoi and Sika Manu also feature in the squad along with North Queensland second rower Jason Taumalolo who previously made the New Zealand wider training squad.
Warriors fullback Glen Fisi'iahi joins club teammate Hurrell along with Junior Warriors hooker Siliva Havili. Former Warriors prop Ukuma Ta'ai, now playing for Super League side Huddersfield, has also been named in the squad.
Tonga are placed in pool C with Scotland and Italy where the winner will most likely face the Kiwis in the quarter-finals.
