Kangaroos coach Tim Sheens believes something has to be done to remove the "cannonball" tackle from rugby league.
It follows Issac Luke's hit on David Shillington in the Four Nations opener, which left the Australian prop fearing he sustained a serious knee injury.
Luke performed a similar hit on Sam Thaiday earlier this month.
Sheens said the tackle became a major issue in the NRL this year.
He said it was hard to outlaw, but it remained a worry to everyone in the game.
