A passport delay has prevented forward David Solomona from joining the Kiwis for their Anzac rugby league test against Australia in Brisbane next Friday night.
The Wakefield second rower was in line for selection in the New Zealand squad, but has not got his passport back from the British Home Office.
Solomona, who was part of the Kiwis' Tri-Nations triumph last year, was reported to have been emotional at missing the chance the play in the test at Suncorp Stadium.
The passport issue is understood to be related to Solomona needing a re-entry permit from France to Britain after Wakefield's Super League match against the Catalans Dragons next month.
He handed his passport into British immigration officials for processing, but the paperwork has not been completed to allow him to join the Kiwis in camp.
