The New Zealand Rugby League will today vote to accept the governance plan promoted by Government sports agency Sparc, putting into place the board's demise in May.
Its nine members will be replaced by four appointed by Sparc and three elected by districts. The new board will appoint a new chief executive.
NZRL chairman Ray Haffenden, who has led a financial and management recovery, said he had no indication of dissension with the Sparc plan. Haffenden is among those expected to stand for re-election, with deputy chairman Vinnie Weir.
