Kiwis coach Brian McClennan has confirmed his dedication to the national side by agreeing to a full-time coaching role.
League CEO Peter Cordtz says they initially wanted McClennan to be involved with a high performance national role as well, coaching coaches, or taking on a larger group of local players.
However, the NZRL has decided it is more beneficial if Brian McLennan puts all his energy into coaching the Kiwis.
Cordtz says in order to build on what McClennan has already achieved, the focus needs to be on coaching, and while no set term for the job has been signed off, it will go through to the 2008 World Cup.
