New South Wales has extended Laurie Daley's contract as the Blues State of Origin coach for a further year.
The upgraded deal ensures Daley will oversee not only next year's series but also the 2015 campaign.
NSW league chairman Dr George Peponis said the board had been very impressed with how the former Australian, NSW and Canberra star had gone about his business since taking over the reins this year from Ricky Stuart.
"His respect for the changes made by Ricky, his strategic approach in planning for the 2013 campaign, his attention to detail and people management ensured that it was not a difficult decision to extend his contract," Peponis said.
"It is critical that over the next two years, we address the gap between our current and desired position in regards to 'high performance'.
