Shane Webcke is adamant he will not add to his 21 State of Origin rugby league matches despite Queensland's serious injury concerns 10 days out from game two in Sydney.
Prop Steve Price (knee) is out of the rest of the series against NSW while his likely replacement in the front-row Brad Thorn has a sternum injury which could prevent him playing.
Lock Tonie Carroll is also likely to be ruled out when the team is named later today.
Former Test prop Webcke delivered a firm "no" when asked at Brisbane's pool recovery session this morning if he would come out of representative retirement should Queensland's injury toll worsen.
"The reason I retired is because I have a bung knee and that hasn't changed," said Webcke.
"I can't just turn my back on that and say the reason I retired is not valid, I'm going to play Origin again.
"It's not me and I won't do it."
Thorn, who is battling a painful chest injury which has forced him to miss Brisbane's last two wins, was not at the pool today.
He is expected to be named in Queensland's 17-man Origin squad today and be re-assessed when they go into camp on Wednesday.
The big tip is Dane Carlaw to be re-called to Origin after two games back for Brisbane off the bench.
