Three members of the NRL match review committee have warned Mal Meninga if he fails to apologise, they're taking legal action.
Meninga is under fire for a scathing article in an Australian newspaper, calling Greg McCallum, Peter Louis and Bradley Clyde filth and rats.
The trio say if Meninga fails to retract his statements, they have strong grounds to sue him and News Limited for defamation.
News Limited is the 50 percent stakeholder in the game.
