Brian McClennan was today reappointed as Kiwi rugby league coach with his next assignment being the Anzac test against Australia in Brisbane in May.
His new three-year contract runs through to the 2008 World Cup.
He will continue as coach of the Auckland Lions in the domestic Bartercard Cup.
McClennan took over the test job last June after the departure of Daniel Anderson for English club St Helens.
In his first match in charge, he heped to engineer the Kiwis' first win in Sydney in 46 years -- a 38-28 upset of Australia in October in the opening match of the Tri-Nations tournament.
The Kiwis went on to clinch the Tri-Nations title the following month, whitewashing the Kangaroos 24-0 in final in Leeds to record their first series win over their trans-Tasman rival in 52 years.
McLennan's previous contract ended after that tournament.
