League: Maitua called up to Kangaroos

Bulldogs utility Reni Maitua has been included in the Australian league squad to replace injured Brisbane lock Tonie Carroll.

Carroll was forced out of the squad to contest the Tri-Nations after suffering a knee injury in the Broncos' 15-8 win over Melbourne in Sunday's NRL grand final.

Melbourne hooker Cameron Smith will undergo a fitness test.
