League: Maiava signs with Hull

New Zealand prop Hutch Maiava has signed a two-year contract to play for British Super League club Hull, starting next season.

The Cronulla Sharks' player was a member of the Kiwis' expanded squad to play Australia this year but did not make the playing 17.

Hull coach Peter Sharp described Maiava, 30, as "a go-forward player with great physical strength and size".

"I'm confident he will be successful in Super League."
