If the Kiwis were not already fired up for tonight's Tri Nations league test against Great Britain in Christchurch, they will be now as the Lions threaten to ignore the prematch Haka by fanning out across the field.
The move is sure to ignite the test match after a rather quiet buildup this week. The Kiwis view St Helen's halfback Sean Long as one of the key threats.
Utility Motu Tony has played against Long a number of times in the UK Superleague and says Long is crucial for the Lions.
"I think having Sean Long back is a big plus for them. I think he is probably their equivalent to Stacey, so if their forwards can do their job, he is going to be very dangerous with his kicking game."
Meanwhile, Long says the Kiwis have a couple of key players who must be stopped, otherwise it will be a long night.
"They're a big set of blokes. They're well driven by Reuben (Wiki). I think Stacey (Jones) will take control of the side, no matter what. He's the general. I think they've got a very strong pack."
Thirteen thousand tickets have been presold for the Test.
