The Kiwis' less than ideal preparation for the World Cup has continued, with confirmation on Thursday that assistant coach Garth Brennan won't be part of the campaign
Brennan, as reported in Wednesday's Herald had several interviews for the Gold Coast Titans head coaching role and was confirmed in the role on Thursday
Though his withdrawal was signposted, it's still a major setback for the Kiwis.
Brennan was the only member of the Kiwis coaching team who was an active coach last year, and is a man on the rise, with his success with the Penrith in the NSW cup.
Former North Sydney Bears coach Ben Gardiner will replace Brennan.
