Wakefield Trinity Wildcats have confirmed that Kevin Locke is likely to miss the rest of the season with injury.
The former Warriors fullback joined Super League's basement club last month after leaving Salford Red Devils because of a dispute over pay with owner Marwan Koukash.
Locke, 26, departed in the first half of the Wildcats' 58-20 home defeat to bitter rivals Castleford Tigers.
Wildcats head coach Brian Smith told BBC Radio Leeds: "It's not looking good, almost certainly season ending.
"It's serious, sort of chest and upper arm, it's to do with his pectoral and maybe ligaments."
