Australian five-eighth Johnathan Thurston claims there is too much pride and professionalism in the Kangaroos rugby league side to let complacency get the better of them against an understrength New Zealand tonight.
The Kiwis have been ravaged by injuries to key players such as Kieran Foran, Elijah Taylor and Issac Luke and go into the test as huge underdogs against the world champions at Allianz Stadium.
They also surprisingly left a number of available players out of the squad including Jared Waerea-Hargreaves, Frank-Paul Nuuausala and Shaun Kenny-Dowall.
However, Thurston said the team had been preparing for the game no differently from how they did for last year's World Cup final in Manchester, where they won 34-2.
"Our attitude is the same as it always is, it has to be," Thurston said.
