The Junior Warriors are one step away from returning to the NYC grand final after easily dispatching the Roosters 58-6 in their elimination final in Sydney tonight.
They will now face the Bulldogs in the grand final qualifier next weekend _ a team the Junior Warriors beat 34-24 in May - with considerable confidence.
The Warriors, who are the only side to make the finals in each of the competition's six seasons, led 22-0 at halftime against the Roosters and continued to pile on the points with five-eighth Tuimoala Lolohea leading the way with four tries.
They played with good aggression and control and found considerable joy running the ball - 11 of the 17 players ran for more than 100m - against a side who eliminated them from the finals last season. The Roosters were in disarray by the end and they have now conceded 20 tries in their last two games.
The result prolongs John Ackland's coaching career at the Warriors, with Ackland, who delivered back-to-back NYC titles in 2010 and 2011, stepping down at the end of the year.
