KEY POINTS:
Bradford forward David Solomona has admitted his New Zealand career looks over and may switch his allegiance to Samoa for the 2008 World Cup.
Along with a host of Super League-based Kiwis, Solomona was ignored for last week's Anzac test against Australia in Brisbane, and he does not expect to be called up for New Zealand's tour of Britain in October and November.
"I'm not too fussed," he told the Bradford Telegraph and Argus newspaper in England.
"I'm more than happy not to be playing test matches anymore.
"Over the last few years I've picked up more injuries than I have in my whole career and I think it's my body telling me I'd better slow down."
Solomona, 29, who won his ninth cap in the Kiwis' shock 2005 Tri-Nations final triumph but missed the 2006 series due to injury, represented Samoa in the 2000 World Cup and would love to do the same in Australia next year.
Samoa failed to qualify from the Pacific group but have another chance to book their place via the repechage and they have a galaxy of Super League stars to bolster their side.
"I'm looking to have some impact with Samoa and I know a lot of Samoan players over here that are hoping the same," Solomona said.
"There's Francis Meli, Motu Tony, Joe Vagana and Henry Fa'afili to name a few.
"A lot of us are passionate about international football and a lot of our parents were born in Samoa."
