KEY POINTS:
Former New Zealand Warriors coach Tony Kemp has been co-opted to the revamped board of the New Zealand Rugby League.
Kemp, who was dumped by the National Rugby League club at the end of the 2005 season, is one of two additions to the board - though he and Auckland businessman Vince Weir will be up for re-election at the NZRL's annual meeting in March.
Kemp and Weir join existing members Peter Douglas, Keith Burgess, Bob Haddon and Andrew Chalmers, the acting chairman.
The pair were nominated by the NZRL's member provinces at a meeting in Wellington last month.
They replace Selwyn Bennett - who resigned following the Nathan Fien "Grannygate" controversy last month - and Keith Pittman, who resigned in July.
Five potential board members were nominated for the positions. Two subsequently withdrew while former Kiwis coach Graham Lowe's bid failed when his nomination failed to find a seconder.
Of the current board, Douglas is not up for re-election in March because his tenure does not expire until 2008.
Chalmers will step down from that role at the annual meeting and his term as a board member also expires at that time.
