League: Former international in drug rape accusation

Police are investigating an alleged drug rape complaint against a former New Zealand rugby league test player.

Auckland police said they received a complaint from a woman who suspected she had been drugged and raped by the former Kiwis player, the Sunday Star-Times newspaper reported.

The woman reportedly took a DNA test the morning after the alleged incident.

The newspaper would not name the former player for legal reasons but said he was a former Kiwis international who also formerly played for the Warriors.
