Queensland captain Cameron Smith has missed Monday's pre-State of Origin media conference as he battles flu-like symptoms.
He was replaced by Sam Thaiday in the conference for the captains and coaches ahead of Wednesday's opening Origin rugby league match at Etihad Stadium.
Smith is one of several Queensland players who have displayed similar symptoms.
