England wing Tommy Makinson has beaten out Kiwis captain Dallin Watene-Zelezniak to be crowned the 2018 Golden Boot winner.
Makinson's award follows his stunning three-try performance for England in their series-deciding victory over the Kiwis in the second test in Liverpool on Monday.
The 27-year-old fended off challenges from rival nominees Watene-Zelezniak, England teammate Elliott Whitehead, and Kangaroos fullback James Tedesco.
The St Helens flyer is just the fifth England player to receive the award since 1984 and first since former captain Kevin Sinfield in 2012.
Makinson burst on to the international stage in May when he came off the bench to score a try in England's win over New Zealand in the mid-season Denver test at Mile High Stadium.
