Andrew Johns' English Super League title dream is over after another Australian, Nathan Blacklock, scored a first half hat-trick as Hull beat Warrington 40-6 in an elimination rugby league playoff yesterday.
Johns came to Warrington dreaming of delivering the title in just a six-game stint but, despite a brilliant solo run to score his first try for the club in the 62nd minute, it was not enough.
Johns will now return home to Australia where he is expected to make himself available to play in the opening Tri-Nations test against New Zealand in Sydney on October 15.
League: Brilliance not enough for Johns
