KEY POINTS:
Gary Kemble remains Kiwis coach, for now. There was no change in the player-versus-coach battle yesterday after a lengthy New Zealand Rugby League board meeting.
Kemble continued meetings with Kiwis prospects in Sydney yesterday and was due back in Auckland late last night so did not report to the board yesterday. He is yet to make any response to the players' concerns.
"We discussed the situation in and around the coaching position but, as Gary was in Sydney, there is nothing new we can add on this issue," said NZRL chairman Ray Haffenden.
"We will meet with Gary early next week to find out what information he has been able to gather after this week's events."
Haffenden said the board did not discuss whether any action would be taken against Kiwis captain Roy Asotasi and David Kidwell over their comments this week.
